Hanna Salzman (HON-uh) is a designer, Laidlaw scholar, and third-year undergraduate architecture student at the University of Toronto. In her personal work, she specializes in graphic, web, and type design. Her current research is focused on the relationship between design and authoritarianism, and how patterns in visual language are applied for the purposes of state control and manipulating collective memory.

Past work includes projects with musicians, student developers, nonprofits, clothing stores, magazines, and more. She currently serves as the Creative Director at Scaffold* Journal, a student research journal at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design.
